Description: Staffordshire Elsmore & Forster Turnstall, Ceres Shape, White Wheat Ironstone, mid-19th C. Tall coffee pot Description: Antique bright white and glossy English ironstone pottery. Beautiful vivid textured pattern of textured wheat ears and leaves in a ribbon. Condition: Excellent, nice glossy finish - no dulling/staining. Clearly raised pattern of wheat. No Chips, cracks or repairs, stains. Minor crazing at rim of lid. Diamond marks were used for Great Britain registration from 1842 to 1867. Dimensions: 11” high 9.5” wide 5 ¼ base Comments: The Ceres shape is hard to find on Ebay or Etsy. Tunstall is a constituent town in the area of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. It is the most northern, and fourth largest town of the “Potteries”.
