This canteen measures about 8 inches tall with stopper, 5 inches wide from side to side and 2 inches across the top. Holds 36 ounces/4.5 cups. Suitable for the French and Indian War, Revolutionary War and Civil War.Made of tin plated steel and lead free solder. Comes with a cork and hemp rope shoulder sling. This canteen is lined with beeswax so it is ready to use. Hand wash and dry the canteen. Before storing your canteen give a light rub down with food grade mineral oil. Tin plated steel will develop a patina and rust a bit especially along seams..just clean with a soft cloth and non scratch cleanser. ***DO NOT PUT IN THE DISHWASHER** DO NOT PUT HOT LIQUIDS INSIDE COLD ONLY**
