Description: The punch is VERY DIFFICULT to open from the closed position. In fact, it required me the use of a screwdriver to shimmy the lock over. Therefore, it will be shipped in the open position, though it does close rather easily. IN ADDITION, the punch must be pressed down thoroughly and with some quick hitting force for the little wheel to cut all the way through the paper. I would definitely say it's a bit more difficult to use than most punches. See photos.
