Description: A Stanley Bailey No 6 fore plane. This is a type 13, made in the USA in the late 1910s-1920s. It carries a single patent date between the frog and rear handle. The front of the plane is flat under the knob indicating this is a type 13 as opposed to 14. This one would benefit from a little restoration, as desired but is pretty much ready to go. All I've done is clean the sides and sole a little to ensure there is no structural damage (there is none). I have also completely disassembled the plane so can confirm there are no stuck or damaged screws/threads. The cutter is a "Victory" stamped one, which I believe was also made by stanley. Please note the chips to the back end sides of the main body. The rear handle horn is tapered which is a user modification. I was able to take a fairly rough test shaving with the plane, which somewhat surprised me as the iron needs sharpening, although from the look of it it shouldn't take much work. I'm happy to combine postage costs where I can. Thank you for looking.
