Description: Here is a Starrett No. 25-441 1" dial indicator with a Brown and Sharpe magnetic base that are in very good condition. These tools have worked very well together. They have been used so you will find some minor cosmetic imperfections from normal use. I was to point out one of these imperfections in the last photo. The previous owner had his name etched onto the back of this indicator. There is also some light scribes on the magnetic base. Please don't let this detract from what is otherwise a very nice used set of precision tools. This Brown and Sharpe magnetic base isin good condition. It "sticks" to any flat steel surface. Everything slides around easily and locks down tight wherever you want it to. The magnet turns "on" and "off" easily with just a turn of the lever. The Starrett dial indicator has a range of 1" and a resolution of .001". It moves in and out easily without any hesitations and always returns to "0". Smooth! The clear plastic lens has plenty of scratches and scuffs on it from being used. It is still easily readable. I believe that this lens has been super glued to keep it in place. The copper indicator post is pretty unique. I dont know what manufacturer made it. I do know that is works great! Everything will work perfectly for you! I guarantee it! This set up has a vertical reach of 19" and a horizontal reach of approximately 9".
