Original acrylic painting based on a well-known Porsche-Werkfoto photo of Steve McQueen and Brian Redman behind the scenes during filming of McQueens Le Mans movie. Signed in the lower left by Brian Redman. Redman (along with Richard Attwood, Derek Bell, Jo Siffert, Vic Elford and others) worked on the movie, which focused on the No. 20 Porsche he had driven at Le Mans that year, in 1970. Many pre-race sequences were shot during the actual 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the camera car that competed in the race finished ninth. Much of the movie was shot right after the event, using the real track and real racing drivers (all exhausted, having just competed in the worlds most grueling endurance competition). Painted on canvas stretched over a wooden frame. On the reverse of the canvas is an old open-wheel race print by the same artist, Robert O'Rourke, who uses the initials RO'R.
