The only damage is the front cover; the bottom corner has a crease. This is a very good reference book for straps. Most of all, the pictures are black and white, without damage to any pages. This book goes from the origin of the shoulder strap 1829-1834, to the Bimetallic Era 1835-1850, to the Golden Era 1851-1871 Regulation and Nonregulation Shoulder Straps, to the Silver Era 1872-1901, towards Obsolescence 1902-1936, to the Modern Era 1937-1998 the date the book was published. It includes suppliers of shoulder straps, key to branch colors, regulation border dimensions, color photographs, and styles of grade devices. There are 7 pages of color straps. This contains 207 pages and measures 11 x 8.5 inches. This book is great for the collector of straps. Please review the pictures carefully, as they are also part of the description.
