Description: "Connie Walther Style" Scandinavian Pottery/Glass Mid Century Modern Spherical Vase. This is a uniquely special vase in rustic ceramic design that looks like metal bronze or leather. This is long neck pottery bottle vase approximately 10.5" tall with the largest diameter 6". It has a very unique exterior glaze that looks like metal bronze or leather with browns, blacks, green tones and as well as a white band of crackle glaze around the top of the bowl. It has the feel of asian art vases (and could be) and is also very like the vases of Connie Walther, vintage Danish Potter who's work is highly prized. She was a Mid Century artist well known for similar work. This vase is however unsigned and therefore difficult to place. A very unique and showy piece of art pottery/glass. I am not certain if it is a glaze over glass or pottery, it sounds when tapped on the bottom like glass. The base is painted or glazed black.
