Slight soiling of page edges, slight rubbing/shelfwear to dust jacket, and tiny bump to bottom back corner are only flaws. Pristine otherwise with beautiful corners, boards, and jacket. It has a cool hidden map underneath the front dust jacket flap; something I've never seen before but very appropriate for this book. (See last photo). If you're into baseball, Native American mythology, magical happenings, are a kid or just a kid at heart, you'll like this book an awful lot. Not my favorite Chabon book but definitely a good read! About the book: Ethan Feld has never been prone to adventure or attention, especially since he's often ridiculed about his lame baseball playing. But after he awakens one day to find a werefox sitting on his chest, Ethan learns he's ripe for a "fantastic destiny" in the Summerlands -- part of a connected, hidden world, where small American Indian-like ferishers play ball, and evil Coyote is thirsty to destroy the universe.
