Description: Rare Swedish Model 1842/47 1822 Cavalry Trooper’s Sword. This is a highly unusual sword and comprises a distinctive, long, falchion-type blade that is seen on other Swedish swords of the period but not commonly adopted by any other countries at that time – was a peculiarly Swedish blade style. With brass, bowl guard to the hilt and ribbed leather grip. I did have another identical example which is now sold but these are the only swords that I have seen in many years of selling – I would guess that this is an extremely rare sword and seldom seen in the market. These swords don't go on the market to often.33'' 3/4 Blade from hilt to tip39'' without sheath40'' overall with sheath on This is a very nice sword for anyone's collection.
