Very Good+ Orange cloth with discoloration along edge which may be removable, nice otherwise. DW is Very Good with chipping to spine and edge wear. Tarzan and the Golden Lion is the ninth in his series of books about the title character Tarzan. It was first published as a seven part serial in Argosy All-Story Weekly beginning in December 1922; and then as a complete novel by A.C. McClurg & Co. on March 24, 1923. The ads on page 335 list 28 Burroughs titles. Later state of the photoplay edition, which appeared in at least nine variants (Heins GL-3b, Lukes GL-8a, jacket variant 6). This edition is scarce in all variants, and the jacket even more so.
