The old capacitors start getting leaky and the transistors go bad, resulting in speed issues. This will take care of most of the circuit-board-related issues you will see with these turntables.Even if your turntable is working, you should still recap it. This kit includes replacements for all electrolytic capacitors on the boards. These are extremely high-quality parts, the same ones I use when I work on vintage stereo gear. Capacitors are Nichicon PW, Panasonic FC, and Wima film. The old 470 uf axial capacitor is replaced with a radial capacitor, which will fit fine. I will include fairly basic instructions, but this is moderately complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron.
