You're looking at a SUPERB condition book which is RARE and hard to find and a classic cookbook published in 1948, prepared by the members of The Congressional Club, Cabinet and Supreme Court Wives, Wives of Governors, and The White House and Foreign Embassies and with a brief foreword by then First Lady BESS TRUMAN--the book is a Third Printing published and a HARDCOVER with the ORIGINAL DUSTJACKET and is NOT a remainder copy and NOT price-clipped, with the original $3.75 price on the lower edge of the front inner flap. This book is in SUPERB condition and the book itself has very light dings on the upper opening tips, a slight ding on the upper right tip of a few of the book's first pages and a slight faded spot on one letter in the subtitle on the lower left of the front surface but NO other significant imperfections; the dustjacket has a tiny torn out spot on the lower right edge and upper center of the front surface, very light dings and tiny tears on the spine and opening tips, a light crease on the right edge of the front surface, two small tears and a crease on the lower edge of the front surface and a small tear on the upper center of the front surface, slight dings and a couple of tiny tears on the spine tips and just light shelfwear but NO other significant imperfections! The book is titled The Congressional Club Cook Book: Favorite National and International Recipes--Third Edition and it was compiled and published by THE CONGRESSIONAL CLUB in 1948 and is a 3rd Edition copy.A fantastic find, and a beautiful copy of this book!Thanks for looking, and good luck if you're bidding!
