Description: NB - this is a pre-print, not the original! This auction is for a brand new copy of an original handwritten poem called 'Cheyenne' written by Jim Morrison of The Doors. Not signed but the poem is clearly in the hand of Morrison. 013/2 - THE DOORS / JIM MORRISON Handwritten Poem. The poem entitled 'Cheyenne' is in Jim Morrison's hand and is written on one side of a sheet of lined paper in blue ballpoint pen. It was written in c1970 and is 7 lines long. The 7 lines are written in blue ballpoint pen on a sheet of lined stationery. The lines are - 'Cheyenne to Denver, (come to Denver), Cheyenne You Shine, Like A City of Gold, (Is there an inner light?), Just look in my eyes, You'll be alright, and so on. Of course, Jim Morrison's alter-ego was 'The Lizard King', and first appeared on 'Waiting For The Sun' in 1968. A poem is printed inside the record sleeve 'The Celebration Of The Lizard', and formed part of the lyrics for this song, and which also appeared on the album. This item would look absolutely fantastic framed and placed on display. The copy you receive is on the best quality A4 (10x8 inches) 160gm paper, which is as good as it gets! Obviously, the copy you receive will not have 'Sample' across the centre - this is purely for the purposes of the photo on Ebay. The original of this item would cost you a small (or in fact - large) fortune, and this item is a copy of the original. Any questions, please ask.
