This is a later printing of the 6th impression issued 1949. The interior is in very good condition. There are spots on the top and side edges. There are no tears, or marks except for name of previous owner, Ryozo Kakizawa, near the top of the front right end paper. He was a researcher at Yamashina Institute of Ornithology 山階鳥類研究所. I purchased the books several years ago in New York, at the auction of Dr. Ryozo Kakizawa’s library. The cover is in good condition. There is wear and a 1/2” split at the head of the spine, and spots on the spine (See Picture). The dust jacket is missing. The book is 6 1/2” X 8 3/4” tall and 381 pages including a 40 page “Systematic List of British Birds” found in the 5 volume set.. There are 22 plates, text figures and maps.
