In The USA Wyncote W-9000 Mono Bell Sound Mastered Sam Feldman - Mastering Engineer This edition of the release, was mastered at Bell Sound studios by one of the legends in that field, Sam Feldman, as indicated by the stampings in the runout wax matrix sequence below: Matrix / Runout (Side 1): SW-9001A 1-A Bell Sound Matrix / Runout (Side 2): SW-9001B 1-B Bell Sound This manufacturing run is so uncommon as to not actually have a version of it listed in Discogs. LP: (Graded) Very Good Plus, according to Goldmine record grading definitions. Has a small number of minor imperfections in terms of superficial sleeve scuffs, faint hairlines and surface abrasions, none of which have any effect on tracking or significant impact on playback as tested, (please see details in Play Rating Grade, below). Has great plating gloss and labels are in great shape also. Is thoroughly clean and ready for the record player. Play Grade: Very Good Plus. In terms of surface noise, this is moderately evident primarily between tracks and only just sporadic, not persistent, during tracks. Relative to the graph below, the LP play tests during the intervals at an average of 8.6 and during the musical selections at 8.9 and above, against 10 on the scale, which is the complete absence of background / surface noise. I typically find higher play grades with vinyl that is in as good condition as this is and how scrupulously clean it is, but Wyncote is among a class of record labels, that did not have the best reputation for using reasonably clean PVC in their pressings. This is not the worst of that class, but could have been better. Cover: (Graded) Near Mint Minus. Only the slightest indication of shelfwear, but with some wear to the corners (please see photo details in gallery). All solid seams.
