Description: New York: Society of Shakespeare Editors, 1909. Nine octave volumes, uniformly bound in 3/4 dark blue leather with five raised spine bands and top page ends gilt. This is a nice early 20th century edition of Shakespeare's works, with a few illustrations throughout. Unfortunately this set is missing Vol I, but it is still a nice set with good shelf appeal. Each volume bears the bookplate of Samuel H. Bellman on the fpep. There is some scuffing to cloth and chafing to leather (see photos), and the front hinge to Vol 7 has been repaired with Japanese paper, but overall a sound set. Please email any questions and thanks for looking!
