Description: The Monster of Frankenstein Issue #5. (Marvel, 1973). Nice condition except for a small tear and a few creases at the lower right corner of the front cover. Complete and unrestored. Please see the photos. There is a small tear (about 1") along the right edge near the corner, with a small chip that is loose. Three creases at the lower right corner of the front cover. A few ticks along the spine. Some very light wear along the edges. Packaged in a 2-mil clear sleeve with backing board then wrapped in bubble wrap and cardboard for shipping via USPS to the U.S. only. This comic is from what I call my "U of I Collection". I was a student at the University of Illinois from 1972-1975 and purchased a lot of comics at two drug stores and a record store in campus town. (Despite spending too much time reading comics, listening to music, and partying, I did manage to graduate.) All of those comics have been carefully stored all these years. I was surprised to discover that I had 2-1/2 long boxes of comics from 1972-75, almost all in excellent condition. I don't remember buying that many, but it was 50 years ago. For the last few years, I have been selling these comics and buying some very nice guitars with the "comic book money". (Many thanks to all of the eBay buyers who have made that possible!)
