His sound yoga mentor had been Russill Paul (Anirud Jaidev) of Chennai, who accepted him as a student for a one-year Yoga of Sound internship back in 2002. After 9 years of mantra sadhana and a trip to India, he began to teach mantra yoga in area yoga studios, and, along with Mantrakaya Sarasvati, formed the kirtan band, OM Nation.
