Description: This is a vintage copy of THE WOMAN Magazine, a small scale magazine at 5" x 7" in size, in black and white and in color. The magazine is printed on paper that is similar to newspaper and is somewhat brittle. The cover has the year written in green ink on it as well as some light scuffing. The inside is yellowed with age but perfectly readable. This issue discusses home perms for summer hair-do's and asks the question "do business girls make better wives...?" This also has articles on the Korean conflict as well as a few recipes and wardrobe recommendations for summer. Very whimsical. There are many photos and advertisements included in this magazine that highlight life in the 1950's as it was for the "modern American woman". I have several of these, see my other auctions.
