The frame itself is probably made around 1880-1900, I was told in this paticular area that the winters where so cold and snowy that people would be inside for days upon days and this is when a lot of these works of art where created ! This one has some repair as you can see but structure wise seems sound and is ready for a mirror or for your favorite print or picture, this one is 19x23 overall and the inner size is 12 1/2 x 16 1/2 , may be slightly off these where hand made so there not always square !
