Description: UPCO Pottery USA Ivory Speckled Rectangular Flower Pot/Planter #105-7" We are pleased to offer this lovely Mid Century Modern rectangular planter manufactured by the Ungemach Pottery Company circa 1950. Ungemach Pottery was founded in Roseville, Ohio in 1937 by Fred Ungemach who worked for McCoy Pottery. Known as UPCO, the pottery ran until 1984, making good, heavy quality wares. McCoy's influence is seen in the high quality workmanship in this piece. This ivory glazed speckled rectangular garden dish measures 7" long by 4-3/4" wide and stands 2-1/2" tall. It would make a perfect dish for holding your car keys and sunglasses, a lovely planter for succulents, or to use as a unique serving dish at your next Mexican taco party. And, yes, this piece would also be perfect for creating a holiday centerpiece! Its shape reminds us of a butterfly, but the design is somewhat like a cactus. It is marked "105-7" UPCO USA" on the bottom. We have seen this same garden bowl done in pastel pink and dark green. There is a larger version of the same planter #106-8". It is in excellent condition with no nicks, chips or cracks. The interior is just as clean as can be.
