Polk, Louisiana in the fall of 1968. The 236th was based at Da Nang in I Corps. It provided support not only for Army units mainly 23rd Infantry and Special Forces, but also for Marines, ARVN, and South Korean military units. Helicopters used were the UH-1Hs.
