Yall I have been building holsters since 2012. I spend about 6k a quarter in leather and I only buy the best Herman oak straight from the tannery. It tools great and shapes very well. And I never throw a usable piece away. I figured up the price I pay per ounce is $1.80 The price I am selling the scrap at is 46cents an ounce .. and that is shipped. Shipping costs me $20 so you are getting herman oak leather at 16cents on the dollar . Now its going to be more belly than back and if there are bigger pieces in there, something about them did not meet my standards. But look at my holsters..my standards are pretty high. For the price, you really can not go wrong. Picture is an example, I have several boxes. You will receive something similar. Have a blessed day, Daniel Franklin Southern Charm Holsters LLC
