This is an authentic musa ceramic venetian mask brought back by its original owner in the 90s from a trip to Italy! She is beyond stunning with her sheet music theme and hand painted face. This piece is roughly 17” high—quite an impressive piece to hang on your wall! Condition: Overall, this is in good shape with no detectable cracks or chips on the face based on our inspection. There is some age-appropriate wear to the headpiece made of thick, glued paper around her face (see images), but it is not highly noticeable and does not detract from her beauty in our opinion! Please review images carefully for condition. This was handcrafted according to the original Venice carnival tradition in which a number of paper fans are applied on the face, each one of them is folded, curled and glued by hand. The face itself is ceramic and hand painted. This was handcrafted in Venice by the famous venetian masters. This has a tag inside as proof of authenticity and origin.
