This card is a Limited Edition of 2,000 impressions #16 of 36 - DAVE KEEFE ~ Philadelphia Athletic & Chicago White Sox ~ a Major Leaguer 1917-1922 ~ Issued in 2000 by Vermont Historical Society ~ This card comes from an obscure regionally issued card set produced by the Vermont Historical Society in 2000 to commemorate the exhibit Baseball in Vermont: An Enduring Love of the Game which ran from April 8, 2000 until October 31, 2001 at Montpelier, Vermont. Pictured is a man from Vermont (a Vermonter) who played baseball at the game's highest level: the Major Leagues. The card measures 3-1/2" by 5" and features a player portrait or action image superimposed over a collage of newspaper copy on the front. The back carries the player's biography, vital statistics and complete major league record. We have reproduced the card (front and back) as well as the box (front and back) that the card was issued in by the Vermont Historical Society. The box indicates it is a limited edition of just 2,000 impressions. The box is not included in this offer - only the card.
