Description: Versailles French Empire style porcelain and ormolu table jardinière cachepot (tin liner) A very graceful small table jardinière. Oval porcelain body marked ‘Versailles’ with a Bavarian type eagle. I have not been able to identify the factory but the quality is very fine. The sides of the porcelain are decorated with floral swags and vertical lines. The whole is mounted with ormolu and has a very well made fitted galvanised tin liner. French Empire style (1805-1815) period but possibly early 20th century. Dimensions: 20cm x 12cm x 7cm Weight: 580gms Condition Excellent with no restoration or damage. A most charming table jardiniere suitable for small bulbs and flowers.
