Description: This auction is for a very nice, 1940's Roseville art pottery Foxglove pattern vase. This lovely piece was purchased from a Baltimore County estate. This is an excellent example Roseville Foxglove pattern vase. The Foxglove pattern originated by Roseville pottery in 1942. It has an organic form, with a bulbous base, slightly flared rim and a pair of free-flowing handles, (see pics). It depicts a lovely pattern of foxglove flowers and foliage in high relief. This example is decorated in a soft multi green colored matte glaze with light pink hues on one side. This dainty vase measures 4 1/8" tall with a rim diameter of 3" and a base diameter of 2 1/2". It is signed on the bottom Roseville 42-4". The condition is excellent condition with no chips. There are mild signs of crazing. All in all, a lovely example and to be a fine addition to your Roseville art pottery collection/fine decor. Please check my other auctions for nice antiques, collectables and such.
