Description: This is a very beautiful chunky hammered Art Deco style GEORGE V antique solid Stirling silver Vesta case/box by the famous silversmiths “A & J ZIMMERMAN” It is clearly fully hallmarked anchor, lion, m. It was made in Birmingham, in 1911. The makers the famous silversmiths “A & J ZIMMERMAN” It has been beautifully designed with soft rounded corners & an oblong style design, with a hammered finish & a circular shaped style un-enscribed cartouche to the front. It is in ‘superb clean ‘COLLECTORS CONDITION’ being free from dings, splits & holes. The lid & hinge are strong which has a snap shut closing action & a tight fit when closed. The recessed strike plate is rebated on the base of the case & is unworn. The case is finished with a loop & jump ring for attachment as a fob or an Albert chain. It is a highly desirable Vesta case which would compliment any collection! & it feels very tactile to hold & is a good gauge. My photographs confirm conditIon.
