HALLMARKS… J.G… “JOSEPH GLOSTER” Anchor, lion,c… Birmingham,1902 This beautifully CURVED designed RECTANGULAR Vesta is in ‘FANTASTIC’ condition with a little nick on the loop bottom side of the vesta but is nothing at all. The hinge is strong, has a snap shut closing action & the lid has a nice tight fit when closed. The recessed strike plate is in excellent clean condition which is rebated on the base of the case. The case is finished with a hinge pin, loop & jump ring for attachment to a fob & Albert chain. It is a highly desirable Vesta case which would complement any collection! & it feels very tactile to the touch. Overall this item is in great condition being 111 years old which my photographs will confirm. The inside of the Vesta has a beautiful GILT WASH interior. There is a BLANK SQUARE CARTOUCHE on the front which is ideal for personalising or engraving for a gift.
