TAGLINE: "You've Never Seen a Motion Picture Like This -- Thank Goodness!" - A space capsule crash-lands on Earth, and the astronaut aboard disappears. Is there a connection between the missing man and the monster roaming the area? An astronaut comes back to Earth and crashes in a field, incredibly irradiated and wreaking havoc. Just as they have him cornered, he disappears, and the "real" astronaut is found 7,500 miles away in the Pacific Ocean, "alive, well, and of normal size." CAST includes Philip Morton, June Travis, George Perry, Herschell Gordon Lewis (voice as radio announcer). BEHIND THE SCENES TRIVIA : Director Bill Rebane began shooting the film in 1961, but ran out of money. Years later, director Herschell Gordon Lewis bought the incomplete film to team it with Moonshine Mountain (1964) as a double feature. Lewis filmed some additional footage, added narration (which he did himself), and released it in 1965. Many of the actors didn't come back for later filming, which explains why most of the characters disappear without explanation. One actor changed so much that he ended up playing his own brother. Featured in a 1993 installment of Mystery Science Theater 3000 (1988). The cast and crew considered it the worst film ever featured on the show. A library of 20,000 to 30,000 video items from 1978 forward, including multiples, is being offered for the first time to the eBay community.
