Description: Antique 10.5 inch ladle from the Victorian period, made by, Rogers & Bro, Waterbury, Conn, Crest pattern, monogram, name on the back has a star and then "Rogers & Bro A-1"..... Rogers and Bro was established in 1858 by 2 brothers, Asa and Simeon Rogers. The plant in Waterbury ,Conn, was the most complete silver-plating facility in the United States during that time period. Until 1874, they only made flatware. In 1898, the company became part of the International Silver Company. This ladle has an Art Nouveau look to it and was made between 1858 and 1898 when they changed to International Silver Co. It has a patina that comes from age and use~
