Description: This beautiful necklace features a large oval-shaped locket with a cameo design of a Victorian lady. The cameo is set in a bezel style with a rope chain that has a spring ring clasp and measures 24 inches in length. The pendant shape is oval and the main stone shape is also oval. The cameo, including the bezel setting is 2" long and 1 1/2" wide. The inside dimensions for a picture are 1 1/4" long and 1" wide. Notice the beautiful engraving on the bezel and the back of the pendant. The locket itself closes firmly with no chance of opening on its own. The metal on this locket is not silver plate so it will not tarnish. I believe the cameo to be made of a resin but has the look of scrimshaw. All in all, a beautiful piece to wear either formally or casually.
