Description: Up for sale is this fantastic walnut Victorian Renaissance Revival partners desk (both sides are identical). Each side has one drawer and one false drawer front. This desk was most assuredly made in Philadelphia circa 1860-1870. The design and carvings are extremely similar to pieces known to be made by Daniel Pabst (photos 12 & 13) show a dining table which sold for over $30k several years ago. The desk is made of solid walnut (including drawer sides and bottoms) with some structural secondary woods. The top writing surface is covered with an embossed black leather (not original). The original finish remains but I believe it to be overcoated at some point. The piece is in excellent condition with some very minor pieces of trim loss. I will be selling more quality Victorian furniture, gasoliers, and other decorative items in the near future
