Description: Vietnam War C-Ration Can Stove from my personal Vietnam CollectionAmong the items in my Vietnam collection is this compact stove created from a C-Ration can, which has been punctured to allow airflow. Like my fellow teammates, I frequently heated C-Ration meals using our C-Ration can stove. We utilized a small piece of plastic explosive (C4), roughly the size of a fingernail, to produce quick and smokeless heat within the modified ration cans, enabling us to heat a canteen cup of water for coffee, hot chocolate, dehydrated LRP rations, or to warm our meals. This makeshift stove is made from a C-Ration can. A heating tablet or most often a small quantity of plastic explosive would be placed inside the stove and then positioned under the chosen C-Ration can meal as shown in my photos attached. Our half-quart canteen cup served as a convenient mug or bowl for making our coffee, hot chocolate, or dehydrate our LRP rations.It is a must-have for serious collectors seeking to add an authentic and rare item to their collection, offering a glimpse into a significant chapter of Vietnam's history.
