Description: I think this is such a cool piece of history and beyond that, it is just adorable. Handmade. 100% cotton twill canvas, this cream colored dress is somewhat roughly sewn, red & white bow tie accents at shoulders, red and white checkered hem and side slits, red/pink and blue Manitoba Sugar logo across front and back. The cotton is rougher than bedsheets but nowhere near a real burlap sack, easy on the skin. Based on the measurements below, I would say this would fit a small or medium depending on desired fit. Measures: Pit to pit: 18" Length from shoulder seam to hem: 37.5" Across hips: 19" Interesting factoid: Following the appearance of Marylin Monroe in a potato sack dress in 1951 the rage of these dresses was on, "you'd look good in a potato sack" was a real thing! (see last pics). Thanks for looking!
