Description: This listing features a small political campaign button from the 1936 United States Presidential Election. The pin represented the Republican Party’s nominees Alf Landon and Col. Frank Knox. They ran an unsuccessful campaign against incumbent Democrat Franklin D. Roosevelt who was seeking his 2nd term in the office. Ultimately, FDR won the election in a landslide victory, winning a whopping 526 electoral votes and carried 46 out of 48 states (Alaska & Hawaii were not yet states at the time). FDR went on to be re-elected twice more before passing away during his 4th consecutive term in office. This is a small piece of history and you have the opportunity to own it. Great shape overall (especially for an 86 year old item), but shows minor signs of age as expected. See photos for details. Thanks for looking!
