According to The Wall Street Journal, A&P was considered as much of an American icon that "was as well known as McDonald's or Google is today."The company pioneered innovations such as self-serve supermarkets and offered various food products at lower costs. Sadly, after two bankruptcies, A&P closed its doors in 2015. Born as a tea and coffee company, it became one of America’s most recognized brands, with massive production facilities, including its dairy plants, coffee and tea roasting, and bakeries.
