Description: You are buying an A4 modern print of the original pattern, not the finished item. Firstly, due to the fragile nature of this well loved pattern, you will see creases on the copy (mainly the picture inside), but all instructions are clear. Another beautiful 50's vintage pattern this time for a cot and pram blanket for baby (sizes below). The cot blanket was originally knitted in Golden Eagle "Blanket" Wool on No.2 needles, with a tension of 3 stitches to 1 inch. Sadly, this wool is now discontinued, but with the needle size and tension information given, you could try a modern super chunky yarn, but do work your tension square to see if a change of needle or ply is needed to obtain the correct tension. The dear little pram blanket was originally made from Golden Eagle "Quilt" wool, again now discontinued. Again using the tension and needle information in the pattern (see below), you could try a modern chunky wool to obtain similar results to the vintage. But as already mentioned, work your tension square first. A lovely simple quickly knitted pattern!!
