The material is a tough, resilient, hornlike material that is lighter than aluminum, tougher than leathers, and stiffer than most thermoplastics.There is hard rubber trim stitched in place around the edges.Inside, the suitcase has a cloth screen with metal twist fasteners (they have green tarnish on them so could be made from brass) on one side and buckled cloth ties on the other side to keep all contents neat and tidy. The suitcase measures 21" x 15" x 7.5" at the widest point and 6 5/8 inches at the narrowest point NO KEYThis vintage suitcase is about 70 years old so it has the expected scuffs, dings and stains (but no rips or tears) consistent with its age. Also, the key is missing and one of the metal clasps fastens closed but its easily pulled open. Examine photos closely to see condition.
