Description: Vintage 1950s era women's black boiled wool coat with detachable mink collar. Inside lining is black satin. Coat has pockets, also lined in satin. Coat is ILGWU Union Made. Back of tag states National Board Coat and Suit Industry #049470. Possibly purchased from Silverman's Department Store in Cleveland, OH (which opened in 1946 and recently closed in 2015) as that is the name on the hanger. This coat was my aunt's and was worn only on very special occasions. I am only guessing on the era of this coat based on Google searches that turned up similar photos. This coat is quite heavy and warm.
