Description: Estate Find... These wonderful photo slides came out of a mid century Detroit estate and they were taken by a husband & wife team. He was a professional photographer~ In fact, there are a few of him with a camera around his neck! Although he was the professional, I find myself gravitating to the ones that she took of him and the sites. She had a great eye, as well! This lot's highlights include: A Summer of 1958 roadtrip to the East Coast specifically to Maine and Bar Harbor. There are a handful of photos of the Bar Harbor artist colony at work creating their seashore paintings! There are also quite a few of the sites around Bar Harbor as well as a trip through Niagara Falls on the way back to Detroit. The slides are in good condition. I have removed any slides that are blurry, etc... The slides have been marked with the sites on them (where taken/ details about the slide) in ink and some have decals featuring the photographers name and address. All of the slides in this lot are dated AUG58 (August 1958). Slides of this era often do have a scent of age to them. I have aired the slides out and also I have stored them with baking soda as suggested on multiple archival photo websites since acquiring them. I know from past personal experience, some are sensitive to the smell, some cannot smell a thing while others find old "smells" delightful! If you are sensitive to vintage ephemera smells, this may not be the lot for you. Shipping is via USPS Ground Advantage with tracking.
