Description: Offered here is a souvenir hat from the Montague County centennial celebration, which was held in 1958. This is sort of a pressed felt, inexpensive souvenir hat - it is NOT an especially well made hat with a lining. It has a satin ribbon around the base that reads: "1858 - MONTAGUE COUNTY CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION - 1958." Montage County is located in north Texas, near the Oklahoma border. It is home to the small towns of Nocona, Bowie and Saint Jo. I wear a medium sized men's hat, and this fits me very nicely. The condition is GOOD, with some wear and scattered soiling. It could use a proper cleaning. On one side of the hat, you can see that the glue holding the ribbon together has turned brown with age. No holes or tears. It displays very nicely, and is guaranteed to be old & original - made some 65 years ago - or your money back. I AM HERE TO HELP WITH QUESTIONS..
