Vintage 1960s Mid-Century Ceiling Light, Sputnik Lucite & Glass W/Ceiling Mount

Description: Vintage 1960s Mid-Century Ceiling Light, Sputnik Lucite & Glass W/Ceiling Mount This is a Gorgeous Marbach Leuchten curved acrylic and glass pendant lamp from the 1960s. It is in very good condition. This light is almost completely made up of wavy translucent acrylic, except for the clear textured glass diffuser shade in the middle. This lamp will look fabulous when lit, thanks to the eleven curved cylinders that form the outer ring of the lamp. The acrylic cylinders are attached to the frame utilizing a screw and ball-shaped nut.It has a chrome ceiling mount with a bracket attached to the light by a chain. The chain can be added to depending on your ceiling height. The top nut and washer that attaches the center shade to the rest of the light is tarnished. It can be polished I'm sure. The washer and nut is the only thing that shows any tarnishing. The mount measures 5" in diameter. The chain is approximately 9" long. The light is 11" tall not including the chain and mount x 15" across and wide. As it is currently it measures 21" from the mount to the bottom of the light. It will need a new wiring run to the existing socket that holds one single standard bulb. I have seen these displayed using a clear traditional bulb as well as a blue bulb with plays well off the textured lucite. I used the flash to show how beautifully it throws the light. I also set a light inside to show that as well. Regardless of how it's displayed, it will make a statement in your space.
