Vintage 1960s Spaghetti Shade Acrylic Floor Lamp Mid Century MCM Modern Lighting

Description: Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing vintage spun spaghetti shade floor lamp with curved acrylic reflector panels. Circa '60s. Two of the shades are an orange color, while the third is white. Each shade is held in place by a metal ring that threads onto the light socket. Each shade is surrounded by a wavy smokey gray acrylic reflector (see photos). There is a vertical rod that attaches to the base which culminates in a round black wooden ball - that's the knob which is used to turn the lamp on/off. The lamp has a three-way setting: one twist allows the upper and lower sockets to light up. A second twist allows just the middle socket to light up. And a final twist allows all three sockets to function simultaneously. The base of the lamp is wood, and it is weighted from the underside. It's a super cool floor lamp that'll be certain to make a splash in any modern interior setting! Measurements: With the shades attached, the lamp stands an impressive 67" tall x 12" wide! The light sockets, going in ascending to descending order, are at approx. heights of 55", 45" and 33". The on/off knob is located at approx. 24" high (measured from the base). The round wooden base. measures approx. 13" in diameter. Each one of the three shades measures approx. 8" round. Condition: All-in-all, the lamp is in very good condition for its age - its' been well cared for over the years. It could use a light cleaning, but is very clean in its current state. The smokey acrylic panels were a bit dusty, so we gave the a quick once over. They are free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The round wooden base at the bottom of the lamp has a very tiny edge nick in the wood (see photo). The brass components are in great shape - no rust, oxidation, etc. The three shades are also in great shape - no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, burnt or melted areas. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and is in very good condition - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas to the wiring. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. We always recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the lamp prior to long-term use, just to be safe.
