Description: Have this 1966 booklet from ASTA offering packing tips for him. ASTA was founded in 1931 as the American Steamship and Tourist Agents Association. In the late 1940's the name was changed to the American Society of Travel Agents. Today it is known as the American Society of Travel Advisors. They have been rebranded but their purpose has remained the same. To be the leading advocate for travel advisors, the travel industry and the traveling public. Inside are tips on what to pack, packing techniques, travel wardrobes etc.. There is a checklist of items in different categories. Personal appearance, basic travel wardrobe, documents, medical. Even though the brochure is over 50 years old some things have not changed. They stress to pack light and not over pack. On the back pages are average monthly temperatures to expect from many different areas around the globe. There is no writing, rips or bent pages so like new condition. Measures about 9" x 4" when folded. A nice collectible from the travel industry. Will ship in 1 business day with a cardboard backer to prevent bending.
