Description: Vintage 1971 Omega Automatic Genve Watch - 166.00.98, Cal.1480. Newly Serviced Fully serviced on December 2024 and ready for a new owner. This vintage Omega Genve men's watch from the 1970's features a round, polished stainless steel case with a smooth silver bezel and a two-piece black leather strap. The 33 million movement number corresponds to 1971. The dial is black with baton indexes and luminous hands, and the watch also includes a date indicator. The watch has a mechanical automatic movement with 17 jewels and is not water resistant. This watch is a great addition to any collection, especially for fans of vintage watches or those who appreciate the classic design of the Omega Genve brand. Although it does not come with original box/packaging or papers, this watch is sure to impress and make a statement. The watch is currently fitted to a pre-owned black leather strap but I will fit it to a new leather strap of the same look and quality before dispatch. Please remember that all my watches are second hand. I try to provide value for money against high street prices but although I clean everything, most items come with signs of every day wear. Please don't expect new condition unless specifically stated. In the interest of fairness to all: The case and crystal are in great condition. I've polished the case and crystal so it looks fabulous. It has it's original Omega buckle also giving it that extra authenticity. There is one main point to note and it is a common thing with all vintage painted finish dials. Personally it doesn't bother me and adds to the character but please take note. Some of the black finish has come away in a very small section where the dial touches the case at 11 o'clock. There are a few other little spots elsewhere on the dial but nothing major. Please study the macro images to satisfy yourself before you commit, thanks.
