Vintage (1979) Mattel: Beauty Secrets Barbie #1290 ♡ NRFB

Description: Introducing your Beauty Secrets Barbie, item #1290 from Mattel. A 1979 original still in the unopened packaging! (How that managed to happen is beyond me!) This of-the-period fashion Barbie has straight length hair, blue eyes, and a light complexion. This Barbie issue was unique in that she not only had movable wrists, but she had a button on the back that made her arms move up and down to simulate styling her hair, applying makeup or powder to her face for added play-ability (That is, if you actually want to take it out of the sealed, unopened box after all these years!). This series comes with a carry case with accessories, such as a hair brush and powder puff and lots of other little unique accessories that are listed on the back of the box, Anyway, this Barbie weighs approximately 0.75 LB, stands about 11.5 inches tall, and is made of vinyl material. The doll's packaging is in the original, licensed release issue box. (It does have some separation of the top of the cellophane plastic viewing window where it is attached to the cardboard from the inside, but it is not brittle or damaged.
