Vintage 1980's High End Counterpoint SA-12 hybrid Stereo Tube/MosFET Power Amp

Just installed new set of four matched Electro-Harmonix 6922 tubes. Completely Recapped all electrolytic capacitors except the four main filter caps which tested fine, The large WIMA caps were also replaced with new, higher voltage Wima caps. The small WIMA and REL film caps were kept as well. All four output MOSFETS in both channels were replaced with well matched new TO-247AC package MOSFET's with higher power handling capacity, and source resistors were added for better stability.I have compared this with my other Counterpoint SA-12 with stock transistors and it sounds very similar, only I believe, better, with a bit more punch and low end, and fantastic, deep soundstage, separation and imaging. The price reflects my lack of desire to sell this amp. If you are interested in tube rolling, this Amplifier uses 6DJ8/ECC88/6922 tubes, which are widely available for reasonable prices.
