Description: Vintage 80s backpacking tent. Very early release of the divine light tent You can't even find another example anywhere. Extremely rare. The tent has built in rainfly. 3 season tent. The tent is very.old design before the clips were invented and introduced by sierra designs in the late 80s. No holes in the tent but the seams will probably need new tape eventually and the waterproofing needs.to be redone. The old waterproofing layer is breaking down and kind of sticky on the inside.of the rainfly. The old sealant can be cleaned off with dawn dish soap and then sprayed with vinegar and dried. Afterwards you can reapply the new sealant. The old sealant giving off the old tent.pukey smell that is common with older camping gear. It is the polyurethane sealant which is breaking down and this can be cleaned and brought back to good condition. As is with the old sealant, it must be dried to very dry before storing or else.it.will start to smell loke the old sealant. Even if it is stored.in a humid envirpnment the smell will come back naturally. I have it in an arid climate now so.it doesn't smell bad but last.time.i brought it to the coast it started to smell again and.i had to dry it out to keep it from smelling. If you have cleaned a tent before and feel comfortable doing so then this could be a great tent to clean up and apply.a.new waterproofing layer to make it a fully functioning tent again and get rid of the old polyurethane smell.
